Compare Two Lists Guides
Everything on this site runs in your browser. Start with the compare two lists tool, or open a page below. None of these pages upload the text you paste.
Tools
- Compare two lists. Shared items, only in A, only in B, the combined unique list, and repeats inside each list. Split on new lines, commas, tabs, or semicolons.
- Find duplicates in two lists. Only the lines that appear in both lists, once each.
- Remove duplicates from one list. Keep the first line and drop later repeats. This page does not compare two lists.
Spreadsheet guide
- Compare two lists in Excel and Google Sheets. COUNTIF, MATCH, XLOOKUP, EXACT, and conditional formatting, plus when to paste the columns into the browser tool instead.
What matching means here
Comparisons are exact. Ignore case and trim are switches. Blank lines are skipped. Spaces in the middle of a line are kept. The tools do not guess at typos, and they do not read an Excel file for you. Copy a single column, then paste it.
Questions about a result go to the contact page. How the site handles data is on the privacy policy.
